We will target your primary limiter that will unlock your performance

  • THREAT - How the pain, stiffness, and discomfort you feel are signs your body feels threatened, and that we can reduce that threat with our targeted movement stack. 
  • POSITION - Understand that mobility and passive flexibility isn't enough to own a position in your sport, we need to make that position resilient under the stresses of the sport.
  • FORCE - Building the strength to absorb, distribute and generate movement under load.  Strength is the base that our physical ability is founded on.
  • MONITORING - Good testing and tracking allows us to adapt quickly, focusing our efforts on what is truly limiting us.  Stop spending time training what could be important, and spend your time wisely targeting your primary limitations.

The plan is simple...

Phase 1: Rebuild the body

The first ~10 weeks is dedicated to rebuilding your bodies ability to achieve the positions required for weightlifting.  Building your weightlifting specific fitness and recovering from any major injuries limiting you right now. 

  • The pain and injury will start improving
  • The performance proxies are trending up
  • Seeing changes in the sport movement and performances

We build up your ability to train through smart testing and decision making.  This keeps us on track, and avoids wasted volume and effort on training that isn't helping you.  

Phase 2: WINTER is coming!

Time to build your foundation, developing your general strength in the squat, pull, and press.  

  • The same WINTER training principles that are used to build the foundation required to push the technical lifts the rest of the year. 
  • 3 to 4 days a week of progressive training, focus on strength and hypertrophy.  
  • The snatch and clean and jerk go through a technical tweaking, keeping technique snappy and smooth. 

It's not uncommon to see significant muscle increases and phenomenal strength increases.  Using auto-regulation principles you are able to stay consistent without burnout. 

Phase 3: SKILL block

Using your strong foundation, we now apply the WAVE loading methods used to push your main lifts to new levels. 

  • 2 heavy to 1 light week format, to reduce burnout
  • Wave loading prepares you to hone in your skills at top weights
  • Your pulls and dynamic lifts get heavier, as you get faster. 
  • Peaking and competition readiness phase to ensure you show up when it matters. 

This stage is when your lifts get higher, you miss a lot, but you gain a lot. 

Phase 4:  Peaking

You need something to train for.  Without peaking, you live in this hamster wheel of training.  Typically applying 2 peaks in a year, we get the most out of your training and avoid long term burnout. 

  • Learn how to master your lifts and build your confidence.
  • Focus is now on success, you develop the routines to hit the lifts, every time. 
  • Competition's can be internal or we sign up for the real thing!  Nothing like a competition to truly show how good you have become.

After graduating as a Chiropractor from CMCC, I worked alongside some of the best support teams for Athletics Canada and Team Jamaica track and field.  I learned the importance of blending performance, therapy, and rehabilitation to truly support an athletes ability to perform at their best.

I am only taking a limited amount of clients per month to keep the quality high.  The goal is to get you back in the game, and stay in the game.

I use the same framework I have applied successfully across 60 different sports, 1200 athletes, 14 countries, and triple digit gold medals.  

We use smart testing to determine what needs to be trained right now, and we adapt the plan to peak you for the right time.  We typically aim for 2 peaking cycles a year, to follow a natural progression that leads to long term success.
